Leeza has led many notable and structurally complex cross-border capital markets transactions. Her practice spans the full suite of capital markets products, including equity-linked securities, corporate hybrids, medium term note programmes, private and pre-initial public offering fund raisings, perpetual and hybrid securities and ESG and sustainability-linked bonds. She also has extensive experience advising on liability management and debt restructuring transactions, including consent solicitations, exchange offers and tender offers.
Her practice also covers banking and finance matters, such as bilateral facilities and syndicated loans. She is well versed in hybrid financing structures combining elements of loans, bonds and equities.
Leeza has advised on many of the region’s landmark cross-border financing and capital markets deals, including headline transactions for Meituan, Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, Guangzhou R&F Properties, Link Real Estate Investment Trust, South Korean conglomerate SK Hynix Inc. and Vietnam’s biggest private conglomerate Vingroup. She is trusted by issuers, underwriters and investors alike for her dedication and ability to deliver strategic, legally robust and commercially effective outcomes.
Leeza also provides advice on regulatory matters relating to corporate finance and fundraising. In particular, she acted as lead counsel to two international financial institutions on the uplift of their legal documentation for compliance with the new requirements on book-building and placing activities promulgated by the HK Securities and Futures Commission.
Prior to joining Beacon Law Corporation, Leeza amassed more than 10 years of experience working in a leading Magic Circle law firm and red-circle PRC law firm based in Hong Kong and a major Singapore law firm.
Leeza was recognised as a Singapore Rising Star by Asian Legal Business in 2024 for her outstanding capabilities and commercial acumen in complex financings.
