Humility & Respect

“There is no respect for others without humility in oneself”

-Henri Federick Amiel (1821-1881, Swiss philosopher & poet)

True humility is staying teachable, regardless of what we already know. The humble person always makes room for improvement while the proud person thinks he or she is already there. At Beacon, we believe in respecting everybody who we come in contact with, equally; be it colleagues, service personnel, clients, opposing counsel, prosecutorial officers or judicial officers; regardless of their views or station in life. Arrogance and self-importance have no place in our workplace; with humility, we believe that the potential for learning and progression is limitless.
